The South Kaibab Trail
is one of our favorite trails, as the panoramic views are unbelievable.
A little rougher than the Bright Angel Trail, yet still a maintained
trail big enough for mules. Your first amazing view is at oh-ah point,
only 1 mile down the trail. This heart stopping view will drop your jaw.
At 1.5 miles down we will get to Cedar Ridge where shade trees, a
restroom, and an amazing place to “chill” await you. Great destination
for families with young kids. Don’t be fooled, this is deep below the
rim. After Cedar Ridge, we can continue down along some amazing ridges
to Skeleton Point where you will get a view of the Colorado River at the
bottom of the Grand Canyon. We will stop for lunch off the trail and
enjoy the amazing overlook of the Tonto Platform.
